Interested in Being on Programme?

In the past, the Worldcon Programme teams have invited people to be panelists without necessarily hearing from them first. However, due to new international privacy laws, if you are interested in being on CoNZealand’s programme, you need to give us consent to communicate with you before we invite you to participate.

If you would like to be considered for CoNZealand’s programme, please fill out the brief Potential Programme Participant survey form. We can then note your interest to be on our programme.

Here is the general outline of the programming participant process:

  1. We will send invitations to a number of those who have filled out the survey form. People invited will be asked to fill out a detailed interests questionnaire to tell us what they would like to do, give us programme ideas, etc.
  2. We will, based on input from programme participants, submitted suggestions, and our own ideas, put together a list of programme items and will assign participants to programme items.
  3. We will send out a draft schedule (in late May/early June) to participants. Participants can then say “yes/no” to the programme items we have asked them to be on.

Once programme participants respond, we revise the draft schedule and make schedule changes as necessary. By late June, we will announce the final schedule.

Please note: all programme participants must buy an attending membership in order to attend CoNZealand. These are volunteer roles, as with all Worldcons, there is no compensation for programme participants.

If you have suggestions for what you’d like to see on the Programme (whether this is something you could participate in or just something you would love to see), please send your ideas to the team by completing this Suggested Programme Ideas form.
